SQLGen (“we”, “us”, or “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard information when you use our AI-powered SQL generation tool at sqlgen.app. By using SQLGen, you agree to the practices described in this document.
SQLGen offers optional sign-in via Google or Apple OAuth. If you choose to authenticate, we collect only your email address and display name as provided by the OAuth provider. This data is used solely to identify your account, link your saved query history, and provide a personalized experience. Authentication is entirely voluntary — guests may use the tool without creating an account.
For authenticated users, SQL queries you generate — along with any optional custom database schemas you provide — are securely stored in our serverless cloud database. This data is linked to your account email and is accessible only by you. It is used exclusively to power the “Saved Queries History” feature within your account dashboard.
For non-authenticated guest visitors, we use lightweight browser local storage (not third-party cookies) to track the number of free SQL generations performed within a given calendar day. This counter resets at midnight and is stored entirely within your own browser. No personal information is associated with this data, and it is never transmitted to our servers.
We use collected information strictly for the following purposes:
We do not sell your data. SQLGen will never sell, rent, lease, or trade your personal information to third-party advertising brokers, data aggregators, or marketing platforms. Your email address and query history are never monetized through advertising networks.
We may share minimal data with trusted infrastructure providers (e.g., cloud database and authentication services) solely to operate the platform. These providers are contractually bound to process your data only as directed by us and in compliance with applicable privacy laws.
Saved queries and account data are retained for as long as your account remains active. Authenticated users may delete individual saved queries at any time directly from the Saved Queries History panel. To request full account deletion and permanent erasure of all associated data, contact us at the address below.
All data is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections. Saved queries and account information are stored on secure, access-controlled serverless infrastructure. We employ industry-standard security practices, though no system can guarantee absolute security.
SQLGen is intended for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us immediately.
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of SQLGen after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
